Peak Mountain 3

Service Boulder, Anchorage, AK

Description

[Edit]

The rock is granite, though it is solid, it has some spray paint from slack-jawed troglodytes exercising sophomoric nit-wittery. Most of the rock is less than vertical or vertical, with mantle top outs on pebbles and crystals. Bring DEET in the summer, because there are hordes of mosquitoes.

Most of the lines on this boulder were first done in the 1980's by Alan Julliard and Paul Berryhill.

A bouldering guide to Alaska was recently released by Todd Helgeson and covers most of the bouldering in Alaska and features an in depth Hatcher Pass section with great details and photos, to get the boulderer where they want to be climbing. The guide is available for sale atakclimber.com
