Description
[Edit]If the trail has been broken out this is a pleasant way to spend a few hours on a nice NEI 3- to 3+, about 100 ft piece of ice. Usually sunny in the afternoons.
You can easily "scope" out the condition of this piece of ice from the road (Rt 302) at a point about 3/4 mile west of the Davis Path parking lot. Pull off at a point across from the 3rd house on the right-hand side (East) side of the road between Davis Path and the Private Campground (Which used to be a Texaco Gas Station, hence the name.)
There's a few different lines, especially in "thick ice" years, but I don't know if they have ever been given names.
