This is the problem up the center of the face of the tree slab. Pretty much everything on the "slab" is a little contrived, but this is almost an independent line.

Start from two good holds near the left-center of the face that are located on the long row of holds that are footholds for the high traverse.  Step high and reach a perfect 4-finger edge. It may be a slightly dynamic move for those of you who are shorties, unless you can lock off at your knees.  From the edge, move your feet up and hit the top. Mantle to finish.

This is a fun problem, but only worth one star.

This is an alternative to the Eliminator traverse. Start at the horizontal edge on the right end of the face near the top of the slab, under the crack. Now step high with the left foot on the mid-level rail, and move all the way to the mid-face edge with the left hand (as for Fire and Ice sim.). This move involves a balancing act as there are no mid-way holds to use, therefore you end up moving left without anything to hold onto until you grasp the edge. Bring the right hand over the top of your left to a micro-pinch above and slightly left of your L. hand, slide your body over the left foot, and finish by going left hand to the mono.

Low Traverse

". Set up on these, and dyno for the mid face edge with the left hand. Going up right hand is titled "Pissing on the Floor." Thanks, Calvin.

This is located in the little alcove to the right of the Tree Slab face. Start from some chalked underclings with your feet on a slab with a crack running through it. Move you right hand up to the sloping lip. Pull up with the left to a small crimp on the left side of the little arete. Heel hook right and go for the top.

It has a back breaking landing on the boulder below without a spot. This has good, positive holds, fun moves, but it is short.

The High Traverse starts on the far right side of the tree slab at an incut edge about eight or so feet up.  There is a row of handholds that arcs across the lower section of the face, these are the feet for this problem.  The top of the boulder is off.  The idea is to traverse across the face from right to left using only the thin seam and the mid-height crimper-edge for handholds.  I've heard people call it the "5.12" problem which would warrant the V4 rating.  The difference between 3 or 4 on this one is the usage of a small edge just below the top that is above and slightly left of the mid-height hold.  Without this hold it is necessary to match on the midheight hold to make it to the other side.  I know this is really contrived, but it is also a unique problem for Morrison in that it is very balancy and footwork intensive, so I thought people might enjoy it. Have fun.

Start left of center, sit start for full value, or start with hands on the center rail left of center. Reach high left to a hidden one finger pocket about a foot from the left arete and a foot from the top. This is an independent line.

Start with

Left Side Arete

, but instead of moving left find two small crimpers above the rail, set your feet and dyno for the top of the slab.  This route is harder for shorter people.

Starting on the right side of the Tree Slab, use the lower rail of holds and move left with pretty good feet.  The crux is near the end when you must reach left to the arete and mantle both hands on either side of the arete on a good set of holds.  This can be reachy for shorter people.  Fun inf on the Tree Slab already.

This is the arete on the left side of the slab. This side is steeper than the rest of the slab. Start near the same rail of center problem, but move to the arete. You can pinch or lieback the arete, but it is easiest to find the hidden crimpers on it. There is a good mono pocket, too. Mantle to top out or traverse the lip right or left to get down.
