Description

Start up the face, then step left across to the overhanging rock. Climb the pantina to a large shelf with a hole that goes all the way to the ground. Step across this hole to climb the vertical crack above (the central of the three cracks). Getting into this crack is the crux. Climbing the right leaning crack for a few feet then stemming back to the vertical crack seems easiest. Top out on a wide sandy shelf.

Location

This route starts just to the right of the right facing overhang between the start of Mother's Little Helper and Alpentine. Top is the right side of the same sandy shelf as Potlicker. (See topo photo of the route.)  Descent is a 3rd class scramble to the left (connects with descent of Potlicker).

Protection

Unless you place gear far to the right, the first placement doesn't come for 12-15 feet. Also, I used a 2" cam and 3" cam to protect the crux, smaller gear for the rest of the climb.
