Sky Raider

Sky Raider ascends the center of Black Tower's face directly to the summit anchor on excellent rock. It is slightly steeper and perhaps harder than Wingman.

There are two possible starts to this route. Either start on Wingman and traverse left across runout 4th class ramp after the second bolt to reach Sky Raider’s bolt line OR start at a large fir tree on the left side of the tower and climb 4th class features (passing a bush) until you come to the high first bolt. Use a long sling on the first bolt.

Ascends center of main face. Bring up the follower and rappel to base of Wingman with a 70M rope or scramble off to right. (Possible to rap off the right side with 60M rope. Tie a knot in your rope ends and be careful!)

7 bolts (130') if using left start, 9 bolts if using Wingman's start. Climb to shared chain anchors on top of the spire.
