Plate Techtonics

Description

The rock resembles the plates on a turtle shell, hence the name. The route uses creative moves and varied techniques to reach the big shelf above the second bolt, then jugs up and left to the anchor. Crux is moving past the second bolt.

Location

In between the easy toprope to the left and two newer bolted routes to the right on the prow between Alcohol South and Alcohol walls. Start in a small alcove with nice plate-shapes in the rock.

Protection

4 bolts and chain anchor. Be careful clipping the first (or use a stick clip). Big runout between bolts 2 and 3 with groundfall potential but pretty easy low angle moves.
