San Quentin

It’s first bolt is quite high but the scramble to reach it is easy. The crux lies within the first three bolts.About the name:  Opened in 1852, San Quentin is California’s oldest prison. It can hold 3,082 prisoners - about half the capacity of Angola S. P. Johnny Cash gave two concerts in San Quentin. At the first one, Merle Haggard, who turned 21 in prison, was in the audience. He was inspired by it to pursue a career in country music- instead of crime. Other notable residents of San Quentin include Eldridge Cleaver, Sirhan Sirhan, Art Pepper and Charles Manson.
