Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt

Description

Start up an ramp and traverse up and left through suspect, grainy granite up towards the first bolt in orange rock. Make a couple of well protected moves up to a ledge that sits at the base of a long R slanting ramp with a crack in the back. Make crux moves past two bolts to gain the long R slanting ramp. Follow the ramp up and R to a bolt and a pin. (note: it looks like someone has added an extension past the original finish). There was quite a bit of lichen on this, so not sure how often it is climbed, but it is a beautiful location, super quiet, with fun climbing and big clean fall potential.

Location

Hike about 15 min down-stream from Hammer dome proper, keeping an eye out for walls on the right. You will pass about 150 yards of lower angle rock (I believe called Trout Wall). The last bit of rock on the right is the location of Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt. There is a nice belay platform that you can hike up to. This area gets shade until about 1:30 pm in July.

Protection

Several bolts supplemented with a couple cams (green and yellow alien, 0.4, 0.5, #1, and #2 sufficient).
