Red-breasted Nuthatch

While doing post-wildfire bird biodiversity surveys in the Illilouette Creek Basin, this lil OW number stuck out. Of the few large boulders in the area, this could be considered a gem. By other crack bouldering standard, not so much. Not worth a wild hike, but it's a fun little number if you like hiking off trail and across a few creeks (let's be honest, if you're not looking for birds and plants for the forest service is there a point?). Make sure ya yell "hey bear!" while on this thing, so as to scare away any uninvited guests. They like to hang out.
