Toad Abode

FA Toad, Hoffman, and Beguin
CREATED
UPDATED

Description

Begin on a rightward slanting thin crack/seam via some thin and balancey moves and gain a small finger crack that finishes with easier moves out the top. Walk off right. The crux is at about 10 feet off the deck below the pocket which is home to "The Toad", who appears to be a yearlong resident here. Use care not to stab the little guy if you are dry-tooling this problem. Skip over his home.

Location

This route is located on the northeast side of North Road. From the parking area, hike down a mini gravel road cut to the stream and cross it without slipping, and continue about thirty yards upstream. The big Toad Boulder will be on your right. There is an obvious thin crack in the center(Toad Abode), and it is capped by two seperate resting little boulders one each side of the crack at the top.

Protection

Pad, snow or a toprope. Anchor off trees.
