The Pharaoh

A short, powerful route to top out above Anthony, Cleopatra, or Snake Charmer. The steep starting slab is covered in lichen (May 2021) but the corner to the left is clean and will swallow gear as you traverse the roof back to the face. From the large horizontal crack it's 2 bolts and 20' to the quick-link anchorA 70m rope lets you rappel down to the base.

2nd pitch to Anthony, Cleopatra, or Snake Charmer. Set up TR by hiking rim trail and scrambling into the bedrock corral, then hike to edge of cliff. Using a 30' rope tied to the pine is recommended since the anchor is on a sloping gravelly ledge!! Facing the cliff after the short rappel, Anthony & Cleopatra's anchor is 5' to the left (at ledge lip) and Snake Charmer's anchor is 15' to the right (5' above the ledge).

On lead, no bolts for first 20', but 2 face bolts once standing tenuously on large horizontal crack. Trad gear to 3" protects start up dihedral and roof traverse to right.
