Deep Survival

Climb the obvious crack from the ledge at the base of the overhang (there are 2 bolts to belay from). This will be a classic when it cleans up. It's a solid trad outing for those of you with the adventure itch. It's a bit dirty but totally worth climbing. Getting to the start is the crux - climb the first few bolts of  "Courage," 5.11+.

Walk south, up Elk Creek, negotiating the water polished rock riverbed. It's on your right and takes about 5 minutes to get to.

Bring lots of big cams (Camalot #4 and #5s).
