Big Surprise is the climb just right of the large offwidth crack called Surprise (5.8). Climb up the steep face on thin holds to gain the lower angle rock above. If you are 5' 10" or taller, a long reach up over the bulge to thin holds lessens the number of hand movements. Otherwise it looks like you angle slightly right progressively moving hands higher on small holds. A fun route but it's really 8' worth of climbing.
Protection
This toprope climb uses the same tree anchor as Splitter which is the tree as you start going down the gully to the climbs.
