Description

Teetering On The Brink Of Madness is a seldom climbed route on slightly undulating face. Surmount each bulge with delicate feet and small crimps to gain a no hands rest. Repeat until reaching the anchor tree.

Since the route sees little traffic many of the crimps and tiny feet are friable and will break away when used. Additionally the bolts seem to placed to draw the climber right rather than following the natural weakness to the left. At present this route is recommended only for completists trying to avoid the harder, burlier lines.

Location

Teetering On The Brink Of Madness is the leftmost of three routes on the far right end of Wind Wall. It is reached by scrambling up the narrow slot between Wind Wall and Indigo Tower. The route starts near the rear of the tower and a tree. The first bolt is approximately 10 feet up and the second bolt follows after 3 feet.

Protection

5 or 6 bolts to a sturdy tree that can be slung as an anchor. This tree can be reached via a chossy scramble from the parking pullout to retrieve slings or setup a toprope.
